Memorial for Bjørn Arve

Bjørn Arve passed away on 29 May 2020 after a brief illness.

He was a great driving force both for the station and especially within the community of nostalgia and motor enthusiasm in the region. His passion for collecting historical items — things directly related to the petrol station as well as memories from the 50s and 60s — was truly unique.

He also had a great passion for motor vehicles, which was evident in the selection of vehicles still standing at the station in Tolga.

In later years the station became a hub for others interested in motors, cars, motorcycles and nostalgia. This led to the Caltex Café and Caltex Loftet, which often serve as meeting places for many. Caltex Loftet is, incidentally, more or less a time capsule back to a bygone era that should be experienced.

We wish that Bjørn Arve's interests are honoured by continuing to meet at the Caltex Café in the future.
